Tattoo Lessons Online
I’ve purchased a couple of home tattooing guide books in the past, and they didn’t do much for me to be honest. Those books lack detailed tutorials and many things weren’t explained as clearly as they should be.
Ideally, tattoo tutorials for beginners should be presented in the form of detail by detail videos. It’ll be a lot easier for a beginner to pick things up if they are able to view each action as though a professional tattooist were there guiding him or her every step of the way.
So this is where International School of Body Art (ISBA) comes in with their set of high quality video based tutorials. The set of 29 tattoo lessons online produced by ISBA is of the highest quality, with well structured tutorials that are great for beginners.

The videos are very decent and the instructor Gary Gray Jr. is a pro tattooist who really knows how to describe as well as demonstrate each lesson in a style that’s easy for a beginner to comprehend.

The first 9 videos offer detailed demonstration on the basics of tattooing. In the videos, Gary walks you through the tools utilized by a pro tattooist, gives you the lowdown on proper sterilization procedures, in-depth look into various tattoo power supply units, constructing your own machine and tuning it for maximum results.
In addition, you’ll also gain knowledge on how to produce your own stencil and line drawings, formulating a good quality stencil spray, plus comprehensive guide on practicing your tattooing skills on fruits – very important!
Once you get the basics down pat, it’s time to progress to the advanced videos which are a lot more fun. The remaining tattoo tutorials for beginners are super informative and they’ll help you gain a ton of insights in the art of tattooing. Gary and another pro tattooist, Paul Miller, will show you the ropes to put out cool looking tattoos in black and gray as well as in full color.

Want to learn background shading? There’s a video on that. Words & letters tattoo tutorial? Have that as well. Floral and portrait tattoos? Ditto! No doubt this home tattooing guide is the most complete learning resource for beginners as it covers the basics as well as advanced materials, all taught in a decently paced manner.
You know, I’m really glad that ISBA decided to convert these 29 tattoo lessons online into a full package DVD course. Online streaming videos are good but they can be unreliable sometimes. I much prefer the videos in a nicely packaged DVD set so I could access them over and over, without hassle. I’m also pleased that shipping was free. Paying for shipping simply sucks in my opinion.

I just learned from my good buddy, Alex McCarthy that he’s in the midst of developing a membership site which provides over a dozen tattoo lessons online. Initially, the subscription-based site would offer approximately 15 streaming videos, but more videos will be added on a month to month basis. Apart from streaming videos, Alex may also release a download-only home tattooing guide to complement the video instructions.
I would like to wish Alex all the best in his latest endeavor. Hopefully he would be able to put together a set of highly comprehensive and top-notch tattoo tutorials for beginners because let’s face it; there really aren’t that many good ones on the market. If you don’t believe me, just check out some popular tattoo forums and you’ll discover plenty of complaints from people who are interested in learning this form of art.
The most common complaint is the vast majority of tattoo lessons online are too complicated for a newbie to follow. Heck, some beginners said that even videos detailing the basic stuff are way too confusing! That is so unreal, right? Well, that’s the way it is presently and I don’t like it one bit. I think the trend of unscrupulous people putting together a bunch badly produced tattoo tutorials for beginners is growing by the day, and it’s getting pretty alarming.
I hope that consumers, especially the newbie ones would exercise some vigilance when it comes to purchasing tattooing courses. That’s why I make it a habit to purchase tutorials and courses from reputable companies like ISBA, which is short for International of School Body Art. They’ve been around the block for quite some time and throughout the years; they’ve amassed a great deal of repeat customers from various corners of the world.
That’s what you call reputation and trust. Getting so many people from all over the world to buy from you requires trust and top notch reputation. I have a friend who resides in Southeast Asia and he’s a huge fan of the tattoo lessons online course created by the tattooing team at ISBA. Being able to retain a loyal customer living far away in some corner in Southeast Asia, now that’s phenomenal!
